The Jefferson Hills Recreational Initiative Scholarship was established to award two seniors, one male and one female, at Thomas Jefferson High School with a one-time $1,000 check made payable to the winner's post-secondary school.
Qualifications: - Jefferson Hills Resident
- Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Proven commitment to community assistance
Application: - General Information form completed
- High School Transcript
- 500 word essay: Describe in detail the impact you have made by helping in our community.
- One letter of recommendation from; a teacher, guidance counselor, coach, or director.

The annual Fish for Fun Day returns April 13th, 2024! Join Jefferson Hills Recreational Initiative for this catch-and-release event happening from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Waterman and Peters Creek Road. Participation is free, but remember to bring your own bucket and fishing rod. If you are 16 or older, you must have a valid PA fishing license with a trout stamp.
