Borough of Jefferson Hills Seeks Candidates for Clerical/Secretarial Position

The Borough of Jefferson Hills, Allegheny County has an immediate opening for a professional clerical/secretarial position within the Borough of Jefferson Hills Administration and/or Police Departments, with the objective of providing professional support to the departments’ staff. Educational requirement is high school graduation or equivalency, with secretarial school certificate or equivalent post-secondary courses preferred. Minimum 3-5 years successful experience in related field preferred. Must successfully complete/pass a background investigation, complete a probationary period and possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in general office procedure, to include, but not be limited to, basic telephone/reception etiquette, proficient and accurate typing and data entry, filing and records management, proofreading, basic accounting principles and practices, various computer operating systems and programs/software such as Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, copier and other general office equipment.
