The hearing
is to consider an ordinance establishing a volunteer service credit program;
enacting an earned income tax credit for volunteer members of volunteer fire
companies and nonprofit emergency medical service agency; and establishing
associated administrative procedures and appeals, per Act 172 of 2016 to be
considered for enactment at the January Borough Council regular meeting on
January 8, 2018.
The draft
ordinance is available for public inspection at the Administration Office of
the Municipal Center. The inspection may be made at this location, above
address, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Any person
interested in attending the hearing either in favor of or opposed to the draft
ordinance is invited to attend and give testimony. The hearing location is
accessible to persons having disabilities. Any person requiring special
accommodations is requested to contact the Borough at 412-655-7735 at least
three (3) working days prior to the date of the hearing.
