Part of Cochran Mill Road and Waterman Road to Close November 4
The Allegheny County Department of Public Works has notified the Borough of Jefferson Hills that Cochran Mill Road between Wallace Road and Riggs Road as well as Waterman Road between Cochran Mill Road and Gill Hall Road will be closed starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019. Borough of Jefferson Hills Issues Letter to the Community on Decertification of Gill Hall Fire Company
At the  January 14 Borough of Jefferson HIlls Council meeting, Council voted to decertify the Gill Hall Volunteer Fire Company and authorize Borough officials to take the actions to accomplish this action. Gill Hall is no longer a recognized Borough fire company and may not respond to fire calls in Jefferson Hills. Waste Management New Garbage/Recycling Regulations Go Into Effect January 1

Beginning in January 1, 2019, Waste Management will provide garbage and recycling service to the Borough of Jefferson Hills.

Waste Management will no longer accept recyclables in any type of plastic bags. Materials must be placed loose in your recycling bin. Plastic retail bags should be taken to your local retailer to recycle. Only recycle plastic bottles, jars and jugs labeled as #1 PET or #2 HDPE plastic may be deposited in your curbside recycling bin. If it is not a bottle, jar or jug it must go in the trash. Glass will no longer be accepted for recycling. Click on the headline to see more info.
