Summer Update for the Borough of Jefferson Hills
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Memorial Day Services, Community Day, and the Summer Recreation Program are cancelled.  Additionally, all indoor Borough facilities, including park pavilions, will remain closed at least through June 8, 2020.

If you or your organization has a standing reservation for Borough facilities or park pavilions between now and June 8, and have not yet cancelled or rescheduled, please contact 412-639-2339 or [email protected]

Parks will reopen to the public to the extent that the Governor’s “red-yellow-green” quarantine levels will allow.
Do you want to help clean up the community? The Borough is here to help!
Although the annual Community-wide Cleanup Day was unfortunately cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Borough still has the resources to distribute to help clean up the community!

Every Thursday between 1:00 -2:00 p.m. cleanup bags and supplies will be available at the Gill Hall Park pickle ball courts.  Mask and gloves are required for all volunteers picking up cleanup bags and supplies per state-wide mandate by Governor Wolf.

Once you have filled your cleanup bag(s), please email [email protected] and someone from the Public Works Department will come and pick them up for you.  It’s that easy!

If you have any questions pertaining to the program, please use the email listed above or call
412-639-2339.  The Borough appreciates any help you are willing to provide!

Message from Mayor Janice Cmar
Dear Residents of Jefferson Hills:
This is Jefferson Hills Mayor Jan Cmar.  Governor Wolf has issued a stay-at-home order that runs through April 30th at the earliest.  Jefferson Hills Borough Council and I want to thank you for your cooperation during these challenging times and to to remind you to stay at home if at all possible.
While you are doing this, please be sensitive  to the needs of your neighbors who are elderly or home bound.  If you can, please socialize with them by telephone or from a distance to see what they need and and whether you can help them.
Also be aware that Councilwomen Nicole Ruscitto and Karen Bucy have started a food drive through a program entitled "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" to assist our senior citizens in the Borough.  For more information call 412-639-2339 or follow the link "Neighbors Helping Neighbors."
Don't forget our local businesses who are in need of your support now more than ever.  Many local restaurants have takeout and would welcome your purchases.

Lastly, Please know that public safety personnel, police, fire , ambulance, and the road department are all available to meet your emergency needs.  A big thank you goes out to all health and emergency staff that are sacrificing daily for the rest of us.
Stay safe and healthy!  Together, we will all persevere!

Mayor Janice R. Cmar
