Halloween Trick or Treat in Borough
Halloween Trick or Treat in the Borough of Jefferson Hills will be held on Monday, October 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  
Community Discussion Program to Focus on Heroin Addiction
This important program will be held on Thursday, November 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Pleasant Hills Middle School, and all adults in the Jefferson Hills/Pleasant Hills communities are invited to attend. 
Construction Project to Begin on Scheinback Road (SR 3018)
Construction for the Scheinback Road (SR 3018) bridge, spanning Lobbs Run in Jefferson Hills, will begin on October 3 and last for approximately five weeks. See the following press release. 
Department of Environmental Protection and Allegheny County Health Department Mandate Unfunded Upgrades to Local Sewer Systems
The Borough of Jefferson Hills, along with adjoining municipalities, is being mandated  by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Allegheny County Health Department to undertake multiple sewer modernization projects brought on by new environmental regulations and overflows (called discharges) from antiquated pipes. 
Reminding Borough Residents About Fire Hydrant Regulations
Please do not block fire hydrants on or near your property with shrubbery or anything that hides the fire hydrant from view. It is vital that our fire companies are able to see the hydrants in an emergency. 
Contractors to Work on Sewers in Borough
Starting the first week in August through the end of fall, sewer contractors will be doing work in the Borough. You may see workers from Jet Jack and Roto Rooter in your neighborhood. 
Police Chief Gene Roach Asks Residents to Lock Cars on Your Property
There has been a rash of thefts in the Borough from unlocked cars on private property. Please make sure your cars are locked and keys and valuables removed. Read more about the latest incident in Andrew Acres on August 12. 
Borough Honors Retiring Police Sergeant Bill Potts
At the August Borough Council meeting, Police Chief Gene Roach presented Sergeant Potts, who retired in July, with a plaque and retirement badge.  Mayor Jan Cmar also honored Sergeant Potts with a Proclamation for his 34 years of "invaluable and irreplacable service to all of the residents of the Borough of Jefferson Hills."
