The Borough of Jefferson Hills has been ranked 10thin the top 100 “Safest Cities in Pennsylvania” by backgroundchecks.org. The website, an internet resource and database of public records, analyzed 2,929 municipalities in Pennsylvania which have populations of at least 10,000.
The report was compiled using a statistical calculation of every municipality’s latest rates of violent and property crime, as well as the number of law enforcement officers employed.
Munhall Borough is ranked as the safest city in the state, while Whitehall Borough is ranked fourth. The report also recognized Cecil Township (sixth-safest), Upper St. Clair Township (ninth-safest), and the Borough of Jefferson Hills as safest places in the state. Read the full report here.
