The Borough of Jefferson Hills Planning Commission consists of nine members appointed to 4-year terms. The Commission advises and provides recommendations to their governing body, the Jefferson Hills Borough Council. The Planning Commission listens to issues concerning land development within the Borough, specifically those pertaining to planning and community development.
The Planning Commission aids the municipal government in developing future growth patterns. The Commission works to guide the growth of municipal services and public improvements so that development occurs in an orderly, reasonable and rational manner. The Planning Commission works with local officials to carry out a community development plan of action and make planning decisions in the best interest of the community.
The Planning Commission also holds public hearings for concerns and suggestions from residents. The Planning Commission plays a crucial role in identifying, analyzing and balancing environmental, economic and human interests.
Meeting Schedule: The Borough of Jefferson Hills Planning Commission holds meetings on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
