INFORMATION ON OBTAINING AN INCIDENT REPORT
Reports and investigative records generated by, or in the possession of, the Jefferson Hills Police Department ARE NOT subject to public access under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law (RTKL), 65 P.S. §67.101 et seq. However, the Jefferson Hills Police Department will provide “Incident Reports” (i.e. police blotter information), to the public for a minimal cost. Incident Reports typically identify the offense, time and date of occurrence, time and date it was reported, location of the incident and name of the Officer(s) who responded to the call along with a brief narrative regarding the call for service.
To obtain an Incident Report, you must go in person to the Borough of Jefferson Hills Municipal Center (Police Department) located at 925 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025 during regular business hours (typically, Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm) and complete a written request. Requests are typically honored within five days.
